Dean turned 2
Saturday was Dean's 2nd birthday. We did some fun things in the week with our friends. We went to Chucky Cheese and bowling. So on his actual birthday we didn't have much planned. We went to the Draper Temple open house in the morning. Then we just hung out all day. I made a cake and called Grandma and Grandpa Gillespie and Gregs family over to help eat it. We had a mellow day but it was fun for Dean.
This is Rebekah, Dean's cousin, I think they look more alike than Dean and Wyatt.

GREEN THUMB AND THIMBLE
So I started another blog just for all my creations like this one. I thought long and hard for the name of my new blog. I probably even asked you what a good name was. I was looking at Paul's veggie quilt that I made him this last fall. It came to me that the name needed to have something to do with gardening or mowing my lawn. It also had to have something to do with quilting. So with the great help from my friend Lyndsay we came up with Green thumb and thimble.
I hope I will always have some kind of project going to keep the blog alive. So If you get a moment check it out. I always love comments and ideas.
Valentines
We have had a great Valentines day. Wyatt got to make his first Valentines box and pass out valentines to his preschool class. We made valentines for all of Wyatt and Dean's friends and cousins that we will pass out today. Paul had flowers sent to the house, my favorite, tulips. I got the boys a valentine video. Which they are watching as we speak.
Grammy played a trick on us this year. She told Wyatt to be looking for a valentine in the mail. So everyday Wyatt would bug me. He would ask a few times a day, "Mom have you checked the mail yet. I have something coming from Grammy." Finally after a week and two days the valentine came. Come to find out Grammy waited a week to send it. I'm going to kill her if she does that again. But the boys loved their valentines that came with 10 bucks, which we have already blew on Legos.

Helmet boys
Top photo is Dean with a snowboard helmet on. Bottom is Wyatt at 19 months old with a kids bike helmet on. These are the first of many helmets Wyatt and Dean will put on, hopefully. I hope they will wear helmets when they bike, snowboard, skateboard, motorcycle, sky dive, bull ride, or whatever else that is crazy and fast.
