Largest Manmade Pit In the World

At the very last minute my Mom decided to join me and my brother and his family to go to the Kennecott Copper Mine. As we drove up to it I was telling the kids a few details about it and Wyatt just kept screaming "WOW" after each detail. I don't think he really knew how big of a "WOW" it was going to be.

The kids loved watching the trucks move around in the pit.

They have quite a large museum about the history and different facts about the rock they pull out of the pit. We got to watch a very informative 15 min. movie which the kids were really good about watching.

The highlight wasn't being at the pit, but leaving the mine. We were held up on the road for some of the trucks to pass us by. You don't get the concept of how large those trucks are until you have one coming at you. It took the entire road for it to move around on. The kids loved it.

Frogs and Dogs

These are our family pets, 2 frogs from our city celebration almost 2 months ago. I didn't want to blog about them until they lived at least one month in our home. Things like fish and frogs sometimes die when you bring them home. Wyatt named them Zooky and Sam. When I change the water the boys love to pick them up and put them in the little cage. I really should videotape Dean doing it, its so funny.
Razor our dog has been in our family for a year now. He really is a great family dog. At first he had some moments where I thought I was going to kill him, but he's a good dog. I think Dean loves him the most, he runs and jumps on him. Dean will call Wazor, Wazor, Wazor and get him to play with him. This dog is so good Grandpa and Grammy said they are going to steal him one night if we aren't nice to him.

Labor Day 2009

Labor Day we went up to the Washington's cabin up at Scofield to fish. As you can see the boys caught a few each. Wyatt was the first to reel in a whopper. We were using worms and colored marshmallows. We only had to cast out 10 feet, anymore they wouldn't bite it. Paul and Brian were working hard and fast getting the worms hooked and the fish off. All Dean talked about before was he wanted a baby fish. Well he got one. This little baby one is a junk fish so Paul threw it into the weeds. Dean was so sad, so his really nice Dad went up in the weeds and found it for him. The fish would jump in front of Dean and he would cry out "the fish just bit me".
The kids at the cabin looking at dinner. Wow I love eating fish, wish Paul did too. Thanks Brian and Lara we had a blast.

Snowbird

The Jorgensen Family asked us to go up with them to their favorite place Snowbird. We got up there Friday afternoon, then went straight to the pool. We brought the boys' life jackets and they all swam like fishes. Wyatt was jumping into the deep all by himself. We worked up an appetite, so we went for the Mexican food with the best salsa. Then back to our room and played games and watched movies. As we got ready for bed Wyatt prayed "please help mom not to make me go on the Alpine Slide". Some prayers don't get answered like we want. The next morning we had there awesome buffet breakfast, then we were off to the fun rides and tram. I wished I would have taken Wyatt's picture before he went on the Alpine Slide, he we crying Mom don't make me go on this. Well Wyatt is so much like me I can still hear my Dad say "Ammie your going to like this, just do it one time, it's not scary." Thanks to Lindsey she captured Wyatt's face after his ride on the slide and it looked far from pain and agony like he thought. He wanted to go back many more times. Wow kids just kill you some times. We played on Snowbird's bouncy houses and jumpy things. We had some lunch then went up in the tram to the top of the mountain. Came back down, had some ice cream and went home. We had a ton of fun up at Snowbird with the Jorgensen's.

Monster Truck Show

We went to the monster truck show this weekend. It was so AWESOME, we saw gravedigger and blue thunder. Paul found his new dream job as a 4wheeler rider in the motor cross races. We went on a very hot day, look how red the boys' faces are and we were in the shade the whole time. When we got back to the car it read 110*. The Pruneda's meet us there, I think all the boys loved it.

Wantabe Batmens!!!!!

Surprising enough Grammy and Grandpa both got a motorcycle. These are special motorcycles where it doesn't take a lot of talent to balance them, you just get on the motors and go. Well the boys thought they were way cool. Grandpa told Wyatt that Grammy's bike went faster than his and so he needed to ride with her. While I am in St. George, Wyatt told me that he had so much fun because Grammy's bike went 200 mph and Grandpa's only went 100 mph. Thank goodness I trust my parents to know they really wouldn't go that fast, especially with my two precious boys.

They had so much fun that Dean refused to take his helmet and arm pads out to bring them home, he wanted to leave them in grandpa's motor's trunk. He wanted to be ready when they went on another ride.

My mom reports that next trip will be with super cool motorcycle helmets and on the big road, not with ski and bike helmets going through the neighborhood. Next trip to Grandma's house has not been planned, actually may never be planned.

Dog show 2009

Every year Alpine city has a dog show for their city celebration. We have been going since Wyatt was one or so. This year we got to put our own dog in it. Wyatt and Alena got a little nervous and didn't what to do it the last minute but I made them. Here's what they did.
